Information and Communication Technologies I have
been experimenting with new technologies at University, including blogs (http://educatingerin.edublogs.org),
websites (http://ekbu42.googlepages.com/ and http://erinburton.teachfolio.net)
and interactive whiteboards. These and other technologies such as laptops, digital video cameras and
projectors will be useful in assisting me to bring the real world into my
classroom, creating engaging learning activities and authentic assessment
tasks. During my
rounds at Catholic College Bendigo, I had my first experience with using an
electronic whiteboard. The curiosity and belief in the potential of this device
sparked my interest, and I have further explored their potential during this
year through internet blog discussions and professional development sessions. I
look forward to using this and other technologies further in my professional
practice, and to providing students with even better learning opportunities and
outcomes. These are just a few of the teaching and learning strategies I use or plan to use in the future in my teaching. If I'm bored in my classroom, its a bad sign! ![]() |
